Monvol
Hailing from Latvia, in the Baltic region of Northern Europe, Monvol is the duo of Nastya Volkova, a Russian DJ and producer, and Anton Monk, a well-known Latvian electronic music producer, both live performance artists.
They have been crafting a unique sound released on labels from around the globe and delivering captivating live performances, locally and internationally, combining deep synthetic sonority, a touch of live recorded instruments and seasoned with meaningful vocals. They also love playing with build-up and release and reinterpreting the cult sound of the 70-80ies in present-day electronic grooves. Though their fearlessly creative music can't really be put in the box of a single genre, you're surely in for a powerful mix of downtempo, deep and slow house, ambient, crossing continents and eras.
